General Features
The Turrets is a magnificent large detached House, situated on a corner plot between Whyteleafe Road and Stafford Road in a quiet residential area at 85 Whyteleafe Road, Caterham, with easy access to all the community facilities The property offers ten beds, accommodates residential care for both male and female service users whose predominate needs are their learning disabilities and we welcome all irrespective of their ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religious, cultural needs or diversity.
The Turrets boasts a large attractive garden that is well secured, safe and with high fenced with brick walls, which is regularly maintained, it ensures pleasant surroundings to be enjoyed by service users and relatives during their visits. The outside environment has the benefits of CCTV camera and an electrically controlled gate.The property has a very large and comfortable dinning room and communal lounge on the ground floor, which provides soft furnishings and the opportunity for service users and visitors to enjoy. We also provide a relaxation room whereby service users can use for activity purposes, relaxing, meeting their visitors in privacy, etc.
In addition there is a large kitchen whereby service users will use to prepare meals, snacks and drinks with the support of the staff members.
There are two large bathrooms on the first and second floor, both of which include shower/bath facilities, toilets and hand wash basins.
The managers office and the conference room are situated on the ground floor. The house has central heating throughout. We also have two separate toilet facilities, one on the ground floor and the other on the second floor.
All rooms are spacious, have large windows and en suite with shower, toilet and wash hand basin facilities except one without shower facility.
The turrets have its own parking and it can accommodate for up to a max of 8-10 vehicles.
The home has a house transport for service users to use, singly or in groups for going out.
We also have a detached garage and an external laundry facility, which is spacious enough to provide service users with training.
Facilities
The Home is close to all community facilities such as cinemas, leisure centers, gyms, bowling alleys, museum, libraries, local shopping centers, local parks etc.
There are also a number of churches of all denominations in the area to visit and access.
The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside, farmlands, hills and valleys, view points.
Other Services
The home is staffed 24hrs per day 365 days per year. There is always an experienced member of staff on every shift, who will be able to liaise with family, friends and visitors whilst leading the shift ensuring all activities and appointments are met. There is always one member of staff available throughout the night, with another member of staff sleeping in. A senior member of staff team is on call 24-7. The registered Manager takes overall management responsibility for the home.
We have an excellent team of highly skilled professional care staff . We ensure that all care workers undergo continuous training such as challenging behaviour, adult protection, health & safety, medication, first aid, NVQs etc........

Meal Times: All meal times are flexible. All Service Users are involved in the planning of the house menus with individual likes, dietary needs and medical concerns, cultural and religious needs being incorporated into the menu. Menu will be discussed and agreed one day before or on the day to respect wider choice and choice for the day
